Product Care

Recommended care instructions for:

General upholstery

  • If possible, replace seat and back cushions regularly to prolong the life of the cushions and ensure they don't wear out over the years.
  • Pillows with foam/feathers or fibers need to be shaken frequently to maintain their shape.
  • Make sure your legs fit comfortably against the sofa and check it often.

Furniture Textiles

  • Protect the fabric from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration of the pieces.

Leather

  • Protect the leather from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent color fading.
  • For general cleaning use only a soft dry cloth. If necessary, wipe or lightly wipe the entire surface with a clean, soft cloth wrung out in soapy water.
  • If vacuuming, use a soft brush nozzle to avoid scratching the surface.

Wood and veneer

  • Wood and veneer are affected by light. During the first 6-8 weeks, when the item first absorbs surrounding light, keep surfaces clear of any objects to avoid permanent markings and circles. New furniture will also need time to absorb light at first before it matches the tone of your existing furniture.
  • Water should only be used in small doses and only in the form of a damp cloth. After cleaning, always use a dry cloth.
  • Wood and veneer are very sensitive to liquids. Immediately clean up spilled liquids.

Marble

  • Marble is a porous material with an open surface that needs protection, and any spilled liquid must be removed immediately to avoid staining.
  • Before delivery we give it a protective layer of silicone wax that reduces the risk of liquids penetrating the marble. However, oily liquids will penetrate the surface faster than water-based liquids. Since marble is influenced by heat and could, in the worst case, crack, it is necessary to protect the surface by using coasters.

General marble care instructions:

  • Spilled liquids should be removed immediately using a clean, neutral-colored cloth wrung out in lukewarm water.
  • If more thorough cleaning is required, only a pH-neutral soap, e.g. Soap flakes can be used. Any acid or alkaline product will degrade the surface.
  • Use under drinks and hot objects to protect the surface.

Outdoor Furniture

  • Wooden parts should be treated with oil before use and then 3-4 times a year (6 times a year in dry weather). Only use oil suitable for outdoor furniture and be sure to follow the instructions given on the specific product.
  • The laminated parts and the polyethylene wicker parts should be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth added with a little detergent. Do not use cleaning products that can scratch or corrode the surface.
  • Hot items such as pots, pans and tea lights should never be placed directly on table tops.
  • Outdoor furniture is ideal for outdoor use, but during long periods of bad weather we recommend taking shelter or cover.
